We all have a story! Sometimes, through life’s ups and downs, we need a new perspective and support navigating change.

Hi, I’m Lisa!

I provide a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can learn more about themselves, identify what’s getting in the way, and develop strategies that support real growth.

I believe coaching and therapy work best as a collaborative partnership. There isn’t just one way to move forward or one definition of personal happiness. Together, we focus on understanding your strengths, naming challenges, and finding solutions that fit your life.

I use a solution-focused approach and cognitive-behavioral techniques with both my coaching and counseling clients. I truly enjoy helping people discover their executive function strengths and how these impact daily life, relationships, and perspective!

What is Executive Function Coaching?

Executive function (EF) skills help us plan, organize, manage time, regulate emotions, and follow through. Everyone has strengths in some areas and more difficulty in others.

Executive function coaching focuses on understanding how your brain works and building practical strategies that fit your life. Coaching is supportive, personalized, and centered on what actually helps day to day.

Executive function skills can be learned. With the right tools and support, many people experience less stress, more independence, and greater confidence at school, at work, and at home.

Coaching can look different depending on where you are at in life and what challenges or experiences you’re navigating right now.

Counseling Support

I provide counseling for individuals and families in Colorado.

My work often centers on life transitions, including high school to college, college to post-college, and other major life shifts. I also support clients navigating ADHD, neurodiversity, chronic illness, grief, anxiety, and depression.

While coaching often focuses on practical systems and forward movement, counseling provides space to explore thoughts, emotions, behaviors, and life challenges, promoting insight, healing, and meaningful change.

  • Transformative…that is the best word I can find to describe my son’s experience with Lisa.

Diagnosed w/Asperger’s and ADHD in elementary school, my son has always struggled with self management and emotional regulation. We found Lisa during his Junior year of college — at the height of the Pandemic. She has been part of his support system through graduation and beyond. She is full of practical and effective strategies to better manage daily challenges, anxiety, mental roadblocks, etc. Working through good and bad days, she has been persistent. Most of all, I love that she cares for the whole person. Her impact extends beyond the individual to family and friends who see and experience the growth.

I couldn’t be more proud of the self-awareness and confidence my son has achieved in just the last few years. We are so glad Lisa is part of our proverbial ‘village’!!

  • Lisa has been a godsend for us in helping our daughter develop key executive functioning skills.  Through her work with Lisa, our daughter went from struggling to finding success and confidence for the first time in her academic journey!  She has been a complete joy for our daughter to work with.  Our only regret is not finding Lisa sooner!

  • Our son was diagnosed with ADD-Inattentive in high school.  It took a long time for us to understand this “invisible” type of ADD because our son seemed to be doing well enough in his classes.

Lisa has a wealth of expertise about executive functioning disorders and coaching.  She also has personal experience with the condition in her own family.  She really helped educate us as parents about the cognitive mechanics of this condition and how and why executive function coaching makes a difference.  She also has that rare gift of being able to relate to and work with young people.

She was our son’s EF coach during a stressful year of college applications and we saw significant improvements in his self-awareness and self-confidence in navigating his challenges with executive functioning skills, especially around managing his time, organizing tasks, and staying focused on his goals.

Anyone who has the opportunity to work with Lisa will benefit greatly from her exceptional coaching expertise and skills.

  • I LOVE working with Lisa! She made me feel comfortable right away and made it so easy to open up without feeling judged.

She really has a way of helping make sense of things while offering practical support that actually works with the way I think.

  • Collaborating with Lisa Kennedy has been a game-changer for our shared clients. In working together with a client navigating both ADHD and Autism, I’ve seen firsthand how Lisa bridges the gap between clinical understanding and real-world application. She doesn't just provide 'tips'; she builds sustainable systems that respect the client's neurodivergent profile. She is incredibly collaborative, professional, and—most importantly—deeply neuro-affirming. I trust her implicitly to support my clients in a way that empowers rather than exhausts them." Her presence on a care team ensures that the progress made in sessions actually translates into daily life."
